What this site is, where the data comes from, and how to read it.
GuruTrack aggregates two public U.S. financial-disclosure datasets into one structured, continuously-updated reference: hedge-fund and "guru" holdings from SEC Form 13F quarterly filings, and U.S. politicians' securities trades disclosed under the STOCK Act. We add structure — per-stock, per-person, per-theme views, quarter-over-quarter moves and rankings — on top of the raw filings.
All holdings data derives from official public filings; we do not use private or paid position data.
You're welcome to quote and cite this data. Please attribute to "GuruTrack", link to the specific page, and keep the "data as of" quarter or date shown on the page — the underlying filings are delayed by design.
A quarterly report that institutional investment managers with over $100M in U.S. equities must file with the SEC, disclosing their long U.S. stock positions as of quarter-end. It is published up to 45 days after the quarter ends.
Under the STOCK Act, members of the U.S. Congress (and certain officials) must disclose their securities trades, generally within 30–45 days. Amounts are reported in ranges (e.g. $15k–$50k), not exact figures.
13F holdings are quarter-end snapshots published up to ~45 days late; politician trades are disclosed up to ~45 days after the trade. GuruTrack refreshes shortly after new filings are published, but the underlying delay is set by law — no site has real-time data.
13F covers long U.S.-listed equities and certain options. It excludes short positions, most bonds, foreign-listed holdings and cash, so a guru's true exposure can differ materially from the filing.
No. The data is delayed, partial, and historical — a position may already be sold by the time it is public. GuruTrack is a research and information tool, not investment advice.
